![]() They went with a business model they knew would work and make a sizeable profit at the expense of giving the players a better environment. In the end, NCSOFT took the easy way out. There were so many complaint topics in the early days (that's why we have a complaint tag) because NCSOFT was not marketing towards most players, and all of these players left. All other players came in enthusiastically and left feeling conned. That's really all that's left: players who do not mind the p2w aspects and the daily grind. The fact is that NCSOFT -choose- to market towards the few who did not mind the Korean p2w micro-transaction model over the general player base's satisfaction. Pokemon Go had one novelty that was capitalized on and abandoned. Hype? You blame this decline in popularity on the natural whims of the player base.
